Singapore High Commissioner Karen Tan will visit the State on March 5 and 6. She will be in Hyderabad on March 5 and in Visakhapatnam on March 6. The visit follows an invitation by Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development D. Purandeswari for mutual benefit of Visakhapatnam and Singapore. Ms. Tan will be accompanied by Consul General of Singapore in Chennai Ajit Singh and the High Commission''s first secretary (Economics) Chan Kah Mei. In a letter to the High Commissioner, the minister said Visakhapatnam was one of the fastest growing cities in India having immense tourism and growth potential.
