The ratings and honest reviews of customers play an important role in any online shopping/food /travel sites. And, there few owners who are definitely not going to welcome bad reviews.

An Indian restaurant owner in Scotland whose response to a customer’s negative review on a TripAdvisor has taken over the internet. The screenshot of Shimla Cottage’s reply to its recent visitor is going viral, and it is savage.

People are heaping praises on the restaurant for reacting unapologetically to TripAdvisor user’s review on a £3.50 three-course meal.

The customer seemingly ordered pakora, a chicken-based main course and fudge cake for dessert in £3.50 from Shimla Cottage, situated in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire in Scotland.

The TripAdvisor user labeled the restaurant as the “worst ever,” calling out the staff’s “awful lack of manners,” and heavily criticizing the portions of the three-course menu.

However, the owner of Shimla Cottage sent a brutal reply to the complaint. It stated, “£3.50 for 3 courses have you no shame? Judging from the waistline of most of your party I could have served them a full cow, and they would still have left hungry.” The response went on to justify the sizes of portions and urged the writer of the review “not to come back.”

Apparently, this is not the first time that the Indian restaurant has hit back at trolls. One of the Twitter users, after going through several other reviews, noted that earlier too, the restaurant’s owner has taken down fault-finding with similar unapologetic responses.

How Twitter is Responding?

Dominic Mcghee wrote: "See if your bored go look at the terrible reviews on Shimla cottage in Coatbridge, owner roasts every c**t hahaha."

Megan Kane tweeted: "Anyone wants a giggle go read the managers replies to any bad reviews about the Shimla Cottage in Coatbridge."

Dave McLaughlin added: "f you find a spare 5 minutes, have a wee look at the response to the negative reviews of my local Indian restaurant. Brutal!

"For the record, I find the food and service to be excellent.

Ratings and sharing experiences on online platforms are extremely fruitful and beneficial to other travelers who get a fair idea of what to expect from restaurant and hotels.
