The longest serving monarch of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II's funeral commenced today at the Westminster Abbey in London and her mortal remains are laid to rest with state honours. King Charles and several senior British royals followed the coffin into Westminster Abbey today. Several world leaders were present to bid the farewell who served the nation for more than 70 years. The pallbearers carried her flag-draped casket. Queen Elizabeth II's funeral ended at 11 AM local time. Queen Consort Camilla and other royals, Prince William and Kate’s 9-year-old son Prince George and 7-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte attended the funeral. Indian President Droupadi Murmu paid her respects to Queen Elizabeth II on behalf of India and she met King Charles III. Joe Biden, the President of USA and other leaders flew down to London for the funeral.

Lakhs of people were present in the Central London. There was pin-drop silence fell over Hyde Park in London. Hundreds of armed personnel were present in the ceremonial dress and they marched. Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8th and she passed away at the age of 96 at her Balmoral estate in Scotland. The entire royal family of Queen Elizabeth II was present including the four children, eight grandchildren and their spouses. Several UK Prime Ministers too were present. Ahead of her funeral, the Royal Family released an unseen portrait of Queen Elizabeth in which she is spotted smiling. The picture was clicked in May before the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II. The funeral ended up with the national anthem of the United Kingdom and piper's lament.
